Description: I personally love this brooch, it’s so iconic and beautiful.
The design has been featured in many books and film, making it a must for Sphinx jewellery collectors.
This brooch features stunning rich blue and green enamel, with blue and green crystals in a gold plated setting.
The brooch is also in perfect condition, which appears ‘new’ and unworn.
Fully signed & complete with a strong working roll lock clasp to the back.
Measuring 4.7cm wide and 4.5cm tall.
About Sphinx Jewellery
The Sphinx Company where renowned for making quality costume jewellery which was founded by S. Root in 1948 in Cheswick, England.
The jewellery produced was of high quality construction, beautifully designed, and had the look of real jewellery.
Sphinx produced jewellery for Kenneth Jay Lane, Butler & Wilson, Saks 5th Ave, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and other department stores. Some jewellery was unsigned for customers who wanted to sell the pieces with their own branding.
However Queenies Bazaar only sells fully signed Sphinx jewellery with the signature clear in an oval cartouche, which makes the pieces very sort after among collectors.
Care Guide: It’s best to keep your jewellery free of dirt, cosmetics, hairspray and perfume. Avoid water and harsh chemicals.
I also recommend cleaning Sterling silver, gold and other precious metals with specialised cleaners.
